KRISTIN BUSH - Practice Makes Permanent at Bama!
Former Starz 2009 player & Alabama Sophomore,
Kristin Bush of Huntsville High School was
missing basketball when she heard that the Alabama Crimson
Tide women were in need of a Practice Player. So, during
the recent Thanksgiving break, she offered up her services.
After a tryout during the first week of December, she was
asked to report to practice on Monday, December 6 (during
Finals week). Then, after just 10 days of impressive
practices, Kristin was called into the coaches office ...
and invited to join the 8-2 Crimson Tide women's basketball
team as a full-time, walk-on member of the squad! Head
Coach Wendell Hudson said, "Kristin is one of the best
things that has happened to this team in a long time!" Upon
completion of NCAA paperwork, Kristin Bush dressed out with
the Tide in their 88-78 road victory at Southern
Mississippi. She made her home debut in Bama's 66-55 loss
to Auburn on Sunday, January 2. Bama (now 11-3) travels to
